Craftsman: Xu Chenchun "Embroidery" is an exquisite craft with a strong oriental cultural atmosphere. In traditional Chinese culture, embroidery is considered one of the essential needlework skills for women. Teacher Xu Chenchun has a creative journey of over sixty years. Since childhood, she learned many traditional crafts under her father's tutelage. Fascinated by embroidery, she learned skills such as flower embroidery, foot-binding embroidery, and wrapping spring flowers. She also independently developed the "3D embroidery" technique, transforming traditional flat embroidery into a vibrant and lively "3D embroidery" with vitality, and further developed it into emerging handicraft teaching and exquisite industries. Whether it's the flat embroidery she excelled at since childhood or her self-created 3D embroidery, both are unique and full of creativity, earning her the reputation of "Lukang's First Embroidery." Here you can see "bellybands" worn by ancient beauties that amazed everyone at national folk art activities, lifelike "tiger pillows" that are little sleep helpers, and various "sachets" worn during the Dragon Boat Festival, all filled with nostalgic charm and modern sensibility, making it very worthwhile to savor and visit.
