Taiwan Craft Master - Taoyuan Workshop. Hsu Tsung-huan born in Dacheng, Changhua in 1965. Hsu Tsung-huan was born in Dacheng, Changhua in 1965. Hsu Tsung-huan creates ceramic art, conveying inner ideas and thoughts through his works beyond their functionality. Each of his hand-pinched pottery pieces is unique, brimming with the rustic charm of traditional Taiwanese countryside and a reflection of childhood memories. Casuarina trees in the countryside, peanut fields, frogs in ditches, and fallen trees by the roadside are vividly integrated into his ceramic creations. He received the "Huangxi Award" in the 3D category at the 4th Huangxi Art Exhibition in 2003, was certified as a "Taiwan Craft Master" by the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute in 2007, was selected as one of Changhua County's "100 Outstanding Individuals for 100 Years" in 2011, won the "Bronze Award" at the 4th Ceramic Golden Teapot Award in 2012, and received the "2014 17th Global Love of Life Award" from the Kung-Fan Cultural and Educational Foundation in 2014. Taoyuan Workshop was established in the 1990s, injecting an artistic space for appreciating, playing with, and savoring tea, as well as passing down craftsmanship into this rural area. Through the sculpting of clay, it conveys a sense of emotion towards the earth, giving teapots an added warmth beyond their function and playability.
