Yong An Drum Making Studio in Xianxi Township, Changhua County preserves the traditional craft of handmade drum making, now passed down to the third-generation owner, Huang Cheng-feng. With the advancement of technology, many traditional crafts are gradually being replaced by machinery, and thus the 'master craftsmen' we speak of are becoming fewer and fewer. In the era before machinery, craftsmen honed their skills through repeated learning and exploration, mastering the value of handmade craftsmanship and imbuing each product with the warmth of their hands. This historic drum factory still preserves the most traditional craftsmanship.
