Near Tiao Song Junior High School in Shuilin Township, there is an inconspicuous small restaurant. The exterior is decorated with bamboo structures, and a small sign reads "Tiao Song Inn." Owner Huang Wenjun returned to his hometown from the north seven years ago to open the restaurant, which has since become a word-of-mouth culinary hub for locals. Huang Wenjun, full of artistic talent, transformed his family's traditional three-section house into a 1950s-style country restaurant. Posters of old singers, vinyl records, red lanterns, old furniture, and various early government propaganda signs like "Report spies, the government offers rewards" create an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time. The dishes served are all home-style cooking. To ensure freshness, the restaurant insists on using local ingredients, keeping the "food miles" within five kilometers as much as possible. Ingredients include eel from Kouhu, tilapia, local free-range chicken, and eel. The backyard also has a plot where eggplants, chili peppers, papayas, and other fruits and vegetables are grown for use. All these local ingredients are transformed by Huang Wenjun with creativity and deliciousness, capturing the memories of food enthusiasts.
