It is a regular octagonal structure made of cement bricks. This regular octagonal cement brick building stands in the heart of Yunlin County, an area historically known as "Tuku" and rich in agriculture. Currently, only a few octagonal warehouses remain in Taiwan, with only three known in Yunlin. Tuku Township is the only one actively utilizing its warehouse, while the others are mostly idle, making it of significant industrial, cultural, and historical value. The Octagonal Warehouse features louvered windows on all eight sides and ventilation holes at the base of the walls. Stairs on either side of the entrance lead to a mezzanine level, facilitating the movement of seeds into the warehouse. The main entrance faces south. The upper level has high ventilation windows, and ventilation holes are present at the bottom of the walls. Inside, the seed storage walls are lined first with sugarcane wood panels and then with sheet metal, all designed to achieve ventilation, dryness, heat insulation, and moisture resistance for proper seed preservation. The octagonal architectural style is known for its excellent seismic resistance, good ventilation and lighting, and the shortest, fastest internal circulation path. Its structure is similar to a circle, making it robust and durable.
