It was built in 1923 to supply power for Wushantou. Wutu Power Plant, already a century-old historic site, is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Zhuoshui River in Wutu Village. It was built in 1923 to supply power for Wushantou Reservoir, with electricity capable of being transmitted over a distance of 100 kilometers. Wutu Power Plant houses three well-preserved generator units that are still operational today. The water used by the plant is sourced from the Zhuoshui River and Qingshui River. The generator building features a Baroque-style brick structure with no beams, columns, or reinforced concrete.
