Liao Wen-Ho Puppet Show Troupe. Mr. Liao Wen-Ho started playing with glove puppetry from a young age. Because the puppets he made were larger than usual, his performances were lively and exquisite. Coupled with his brilliant storytelling, he could change his voice to portray over twenty characters, thus drawing full houses for every performance. He was even invited abroad to perform ticketed shows, bringing Taiwan's traditional art to the international stage. Mr. Liao Wen-Ho started playing with glove puppetry from a young age. In the era before television became widespread, puppet troupes from all corners of Taiwan performed in theaters or outdoor stages, attracting audiences. After television programs emerged, watching TV gradually became the main leisure activity for the public, leading to a severe loss of audiences for glove puppetry. Unwilling to succumb to the decline of glove puppetry, Liao Wen-Ho invested heavily to reform the art form, expanding the stage, purchasing new performance equipment, and dedicating himself to the art of glove puppetry. He possesses the most ancient traditional small puppets and pioneered the nation's largest fairy puppets and the grandest stage sets, with an enormous 100-foot wide backdrop. He continuously strives to improve the performance methods of glove puppetry.
