Construction began in 1987, and the golf course was first completed and opened after five years. Located at the foot of Alishan and built by the East Point Enterprise, Palm Lake Resort is a comprehensive resort combining golf, dining, accommodation, and leisure SPA. Swaying coconut trees, palm trees, log cabins, and staff in Hawaiian shirts exude a strong Southeast Asian flavor. The 18-hole course, designed by renowned Japanese designer Shunsuke Katsu, has a par of 72 and a total length of 7064 yards. The designer skillfully uses hazards such as sand traps and water hazards, combined with the undulating terrain, to create a unique and challenging championship course with 18 holes. In addition, the greens planted with bentgrass can provide superior ball stopping, smoothness, and green speed compared to other courses in the country. In addition to the outstanding 18-hole course, the log-built clubhouse, although small, exudes a leisurely resort atmosphere with complete facilities. The Phoenix Pavilion restaurant on the second floor offers exquisite Hong Kong and Taiwanese cuisine. Furthermore, the resort log cabins, constructed with imported fragrant wood, emit natural phytoncide scents and exude the exquisite style of Four Seasons Hotels abroad. The recently completed tropical island water park, covering an area of 3,000 ping, was originally designed by international design master Stephen.
