To climb Bantianyan Mountain, you can walk three kilometers from Dahua Highway in front of Ziyun Temple to Dalong Station. Fanlu Township is located east of Chiayi City, about five kilometers north of the upper reaches of the Bazhang River. In the past, it was an area where the Tsou indigenous people of Alishan entered and exited. The indigenous people of Shanmei, Leyeh, Dabang, and other tribes in Alishan Township all had to pass through Fanlu Township to trade and purchase goods with the lowlands, hence it was called "Fanzailu" (aboriginal road) during the Japanese rule.
