The temple was founded during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of several hundred years. Originally, local residents built the Wuguwang Temple to pray for abundant harvests. Today, it is a popular place of worship, and most of the land donated for the construction of National Chung Cheng University came from this temple.
