Dalun Community. Dalun Community is located west of the Jiapu Highway on the Shuishang Interchange of the National Freeway 1, which is 500 meters from the Shuishang Interchange along Jiapu Highway (County Highway 168) towards the Chiayi County Government. It is a transitional rural community between urban and traditional farming villages. The residents' dependence on the land is not for economic sustenance but for the psychological need of belonging to their homeland. Because of this love for their community, the community elites actively participate in community work, jointly creating a high cultural standard, emphasizing environmental protection and ecology, and focusing on health and vitality, with the goal of realizing a beautiful community environment and an organic ecological homeland, striving for the sustainable development of the community. Community environmental landscape features - "Reservoirs" are essential irrigation facilities in rural areas during the period when water conservancy was not well-developed. There are still two large public ponds remaining in the community. The public land next to the two ponds was designed and DIY constructed by community volunteers in 2003 and 2004, becoming a beautiful community nursery garden and Dalun No. 3 Environmental Park. "Community Nursery Garden" was pioneered by the community team with the "Garden Mutual Aid Society," emulating the ancient spirit of "reciprocal labor." The community nursery garden, covering over 100 ping, was completed in 6 holidays. Subsequently, the community team expanded from the original women's team, and many mothers' husbands, fathers, and sons joined the community development team.
