In the Tsou language, Zha Ji Gu means "deep valley" or "inside the canyon." Entering from the hiking trail in Lai Ji, after climbing a long slope and then descending into a deep creek valley, after many twists and turns, the largest double-tiered waterfall of Zha Ji Gu will suddenly appear before your eyes, bringing a pleasant surprise. The first tier of the waterfall is magnificent and eye-catching, but it cannot compare to the surging and magnificent second tier. In the past, Zha Ji Gu also had a mini third tier waterfall, but it no longer exists due to heavy rains and earthquakes. After reaching Ta Shan, visitors can reach the waterfall viewing platform from the mountain path. This is a great place to stop and admire the waterfall, enjoying the sound of falling water in the mountains. In addition to gazing at Ta Shan, the waterfall hanging high in the canyon like white silk, sparkling and shining in the sun, is truly a pleasing and beautiful sight. Besides admiring the layered cascading scenery of the mountain line, visitors can also go to the bottom of the waterfall to enjoy the coolness of the water rushing down with force.
