It has currently been designated as a Grade III cultural heritage site. The "Three Mountains" originally referred to three famous mountains in Guangdong, China: Dushan, Mingshan, and Jinshan. Residents living here, revering the mountain gods, developed the local belief in the "Three Mountains Kings." According to local folklore, the earliest legends of the Three Mountains Gods appeared during the Sui Dynasty. These three mountain gods claimed to be brothers who, by divine decree, guarded Dushan, Mingshan, and Jinshan respectively. There is also a saying that during the Song Dynasty's territorial expansion, the assistance of these three mountain gods led to the successful establishment of the empire, thus they were enfeoffed as the Three Kings. Although these legendary stories are difficult to verify, they have deeply consolidated the religious beliefs of the local Hakka residents, allowing faith to take root everywhere. From the exterior, the Jiurú Three Mountains King Temple features a swallowtail-shaped San Chuan ridge on its roof, giving it a streamlined appearance from afar. The architectural layout consists of three halls and two side rooms, with Koji pottery, wooden beams and pillars, and stone walls and pillars as the main decorative elements. The paintings and carvings of flowers, birds, deities, and mythical beasts show considerable ingenuity. The halls are connected by corridors, and there are front and middle temple courtyards.
