Liukou Hot Springs. "Liukou Hot Springs" is located in Haiduan Township, Taitung County. "Liukou Hot Springs" is located in Haiduan Township, Taitung County. Travelers passing by will easily notice many tourists sitting and soaking their feet here, as well as local residents who come with simple tools to steam eggs in the hot springs. "Liukou Hot Springs" was actually discovered by road construction workers when they were building the Southern Cross-Island Highway in the past. They found hot spring water flowing out along the rock wall, so they dug holes to channel the water for rest and relaxation during their breaks. In 2008, after being reorganized and rebuilt by the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration, it became clean and comfortable Liukou hot spring pools.
