Green Island is mainly composed of volcanic agglomerate. After long-term weathering and erosion, it has formed rugged coastal scenery, with most of its coastlines being coral reef shores. The beach at Dabaisha is made of fossilized shells and coral fragments, known as "beachrock." There are only two such locations on Green Island, with Dabaisha being the largest, presenting a rare sandy shore landscape. Beyond the white sandy beach, the coast is still surrounded by coral reefs, with a wide intertidal zone. The tide pools are rich in marine life, such as hermit crabs, crabs, brittle stars, sea slugs, and sea cucumbers.
