Yeyin Old Village. "Yeyin" is called Ivalino by the Tao people, referring to the beach morning glory. "Yeyin" is called Ivalino by the Tao people, referring to the beach morning glory. Legend has it that the ancestors of Yeyin were originally from Batan Island in the Philippines. He crossed the sea with his companions to Lanyu and married a widow. After marriage, the widow abandoned her two biological children and returned to Batan Island with her husband, giving birth to two sons. Not long after, a famine occurred on the island, and they were forced to move back to Lanyu with their family. They intended to seek refuge with the wife's father, but were driven out by him. The couple and their children drifted aimlessly and homelessly, and had no choice but to come to the southeast coast, which was uninhabited at the time, and established the present-day Yeyin village in the wilderness.
