The National Taitung Living Art Center, located across from the Taitung County Government, was once the Taitung Butokuden during the Japanese colonial period (the original Butokuden building was demolished in 1980, and the current site is a reconstructed modern building). It has now become an art and cultural hub in Taitung, promoting aesthetic education and cultivating an artistic environment. Strolling through the brightly lit venue, visitors can admire individual works by local artists or themed joint exhibitions. From paintings to sculptures, from multimedia creations to mixed-media works, through these pieces, one can see the artists' passion for art from their perspective. Sometimes, artisans also set up workshops in the exhibition area, inviting visitors to participate in making glass beads, weaving rush grass, indigo dyeing, and more, allowing art to integrate into daily life and igniting creativity.
