Maple Forest Trail: Seeing Hualien. You'll feel very happy when you come to Hualien. You'll feel very happy when you come to Hualien. Because when you want to see the sea, you can get to the beach in less than half an hour, and when you want to get close to the mountains, you can breathe in phytoncides in less than 30 minutes. Located in Fuxing Village, Ji'an Township, Hualien County, the nearly 3-kilometer-long "Maple Forest Trail" is planted with various flowers along the way. When spring arrives, azaleas, plum blossoms, and peach blossoms bloom one after another, while dianthus and lantana compete in beauty; in autumn, walking through the fiery red maple forest is like being in a painting, unforgettable. Spring flowers and autumn maples make it suitable for all seasons. Entering from Fuxing Village, you need to drive a short distance before reaching the entrance of the Maple Forest Trail, where there is parking space. There are a total of 6 viewing platforms along the trail, at an altitude of about 300 to 400 meters. The one-way walking time is about 2 hours. The trail has a gentle slope, making it easy to walk. You can choose to cycle, ride a motorcycle, or even drive a section of it. It is a great place for parent-child outings and spring excursions. When the weather is clear, looking out from the high point of the trail, you can take in the cityscape of Hualien, Meilun Mountain, the Pacific Ocean, the Hualien-Taitung Rift Valley, the Coastal Mountain Range, and even Qingshui Cliff and Qixingtan at a glance. The beautiful scenery of blue sky and blue sea seems to bring the dreamlike beauty of the documentary "Seeing Taiwan" to life, with a 180-degree view of Hualien laid out beneath your feet.
