Meilun Seaside Park. Hualien Pacific Park includes the South Bay and North Bay sections. Hualien Pacific Park includes the South Bay and North Bay sections. The South Bay Park is built and planned along the South Bay coastline, preserving the original natural landscape. Sitting on the large rocks by the shore, you can gaze at the entire Pacific Ocean and the crescent-shaped "Hui Lan New Bay." Along the seawall, it connects to the bicycle paths of two lagoons. The park environment is clean, with planned seating for pedestrians to rest. It is vast, and combined with Hualien's good air, it is a great leisure destination for the public on both holidays and weekdays. The park features a Roman-style central plaza with a parking lot and public restrooms, as well as designated areas like a children's playground. The overall planning is also convenient, with accessible facilities being a boon for the elderly. The North Bay section boasts large 3D painted art installations, including a "Carp Leaping Through the Water" installation at the entrance, a "Marine World" 3D hand-painted mural, and more. There are also extreme sports fields and beach volleyball courts, which are very popular with young people. Both are great places for family outings.
