It also has a multimedia briefing room that can accommodate 81 people. Before embarking on your journey along the East Coast, it's a good idea to visit here for relevant travel information. Facing the vast Pacific Ocean, the Hualien Visitor Center offers an excellent vantage point to gaze at the boundless blue sea and enjoy the unbeatable ocean view. Every April and May, the hillside by the water pond next to the visitor center is covered with Formosan lilies. Stroll along the surrounding landscape trails and admire the sea of flowers swaying in the breeze, a picturesque scene that is truly captivating. From the visitor center, head north to Lingding Cape, located at the northern boundary of the Coastal Mountain Range. Here, you can witness the magnificent 'Huilan' scenery where the Hualien River meets the Pacific Ocean, which is why Hualien Port was formerly known as 'Huilan Port'. The center houses exhibition rooms introducing the natural and cultural resources of the East Coast National Scenic Area, and provides information on tourist spots along the East Coast. The multimedia briefing room can accommodate 81 people, allowing visitors to gather relevant information before exploring the Hualien coast. The hillside by the water pond next to the visitor center is currently undergoing restoration of Formosan lilies, which bloom every April.
