Shortly after heading south from Jixi, you can pass through the Xinji Tunnel, which cuts through a cliff. Next to the tunnel is the cliff formerly known as "Qingshuizi Cliff." It was originally a path only wide enough for one person to pass, known for its narrowness and steep terrain. Legend has it that an Amis woman carrying her child was passing along this cliff. Due to extreme nervousness, after climbing over the cliff, she was shocked to discover that the child was no longer with her. From then on, it was called "Qingshuizi Cliff." The "Qingshuizi Sea Ancient Trail" is a 150-meter-long walkway located 50 meters above the sea, next to the Xinji Tunnel in Fengbin Township, Hualien County. It is a very popular attraction that you will definitely pass by when traveling along the East Coast.
