The park features a Forestry Exhibition Hall, where visitors can learn about the forestry development of the Chi Nan area from ancient times to the present. Moving along the forest trails, you will find preserved early logging machinery, such as locomotives, cableways, and logging equipment. These early lumbering machines are well-preserved and displayed among the trees with explanatory signs. The cableway (ropeway) passenger car facility is particularly noteworthy, as it was one of the important means of transportation for people to reach Muguashan at an altitude of 2500 meters. Additionally, at the highest point of the park, the Forestry Bureau has erected a monument to commemorate the pioneers who sacrificed and dedicated themselves to forestry development. This monument is also the highest point in the Chi Nan area, offering panoramic views of the beautiful Liyutan Lake surrounded by mountains. The logging train (currently only on static display) was used during the peak of early logging operations to transport timber felled in various forest districts to the current Chi Nan Recreation Area for storage before being transferred elsewhere. The logging train was an important piece of equipment for timber transportation and also served as a crucial means for workers to travel up and down the mountain. The cableway (ropeway) was the most economical and practical timber transportation equipment in the early logging industry.
