Located at kilometer 31.5 of Highway 11, Baqi Observation Deck is a rare vantage point on the coastal highway. The road here makes a perfect hairpin turn, with lush green mountain views on one side and the azure sea on the other, offering exceptionally beautiful and stunning scenery. Baqi Observation Deck has a rest area. Looking south from the observation deck within the rest area, the view is excellent, allowing you to see Jixi Bay, Guihou Cape, and Xinshe Cliff, presenting a distinct and layered coastal landscape. Below the viewing platform, there is a boardwalk about 100 meters long. The end of the boardwalk leads to a cool, shaded grassy platform where visitors can rest, cool off, and listen to the pleasant chirping of cicadas and birds in the mountains. Continuing along the coastal highway for about 60 meters, there is another small rest area called "Shimen Patrol Post." It got its name from being a former coastal defense patrol post. After renovation, it is also a small scenic spot with beautiful views and convenient parking. The double-heart sculpture in the small plaza is a popular photo spot for passing tourists.
