The Shanyue Suspension Bridge, built during the Japanese colonial era, is the longest suspension bridge in Taroko Gorge and also Taiwan's current suspension bridge with the "deepest span ratio." Looking down from above, the steep mountain shapes and magnificent scenery carved by the Liwu River, along with the stunning views, will surely come into full view. Connecting Buluowan, the Shanyue Suspension Bridge will become a new tourist highlight in Taroko National Park. This autumn, you are welcome to experience this "thrilling" adventure. The "Co-management Committee for the Resources of Indigenous Areas in Taroko National Park" (hereinafter referred to as the Co-management Committee) resolved in 2022 to rename the Shanyue Suspension Bridge to "Buluowan Suspension Bridge," named after the traditional indigenous place name of the Truku people.
