Long Ride: Guanghua Village Mini-Tour Guanghua Village was formerly Guanghua Farm, the largest village in Ji'an Township. In the 1960s, the Vocational Assistance Commission for Retired Servicemen established Guanghua Farm by reclaiming wasteland on the north bank of Muguai River. Retired soldiers gradually settled here, moving from communal stone houses, making it Taiwan's only remaining military reclamation farm. The stone field ridges and walls found throughout the village, along with the farm's main gate archway, bear witness to the arduous years of "contending with rivers for land and demanding grain from stones." We welcome you to Guanghua to cycle along the pastoral bike path and explore the stories of the farm and its military settlement with local guides.
