- Attraction Features - The Aganan Shipyard was originally the Bachi-men Coal Storage Yard established in 1919. During the Japanese colonial era, it served as an important loading and unloading terminal for the transportation of minerals from Jinguashi. After World War II, it was taken over by the Republic of China government and continued to be used until 1962. Starting in 1966, it was leased by the American Aganan Shipyard for the manufacturing of yachts and sailboats until its closure in 1987. In 2016, the remains of the Aganan Shipyard were registered as a historical building in Keelung City. The massive reinforced concrete structures left at the site attract visitors with their unique appearance.
