The tunnel is about 2.5 to 4 meters high and about 22 meters deep, divided into east and west tunnels. It not only preserves the natural rock walls but also passes on historical memories to the future. -Attraction Features- The Xiner Air Raid Shelter was an artificial temporary command post during World War II. You can see exposed rock walls that are alternately high and low. The dripping water and irregular drilling marks, along with the dim lighting, add a sense of mystery, reflecting its value and significance of natural preservation. The Xiner Air Raid Shelter features a dark red, scale-like fish scale design that incorporates the imagery of Keelung. Helmets are provided at the entrance to prevent visitors from bumping their heads while walking through. An elevator inside the shelter leads directly to the fan-shaped plaza, connecting to the Keelung Tower, Zhongzheng Park, and the Yier Road commercial district. -Nearby Recommendations- You can take the elevator up from the Xiner Air Raid Shelter to Zhongzheng Park, skipping part of the path to the Martyrs' Shrine. It is recommended to visit the Martyrs' Shrine (Keelung Jinja), the Fan-shaped Plaza, the Keelung Tower, the Zhupu Altar, and Zhongzheng Park together.
