She-liao Tianhou Temple, also known as "She-liao Mazu Temple," was originally named "Da Jilong Port Tianhou Temple." It is the center of faith for Heping Island residents and one of the oldest Mazu temples in northern Taiwan. It enshrines the Mazu from Meizhou as the main deity, with Fude Zhengshen on the left and Shui Xian Zunwang on the right. The architectural structure was built by Master Chen A-man from Yilan, and the wood carvings were completed by folk master Huang Gui-li and Master A-tu from Yilan. Every year on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, Mazu's birthday, believers welcome Mazu for a tour and procession around the island, creating a lively scene.
