Bajiamen refers to the narrowest part of a long waterway, and it's not literally only eight chi (a unit of length). This is also where Taiwan's first cross-sea bridge, Heping Bridge, spans. This beautiful cross-sea bridge has no piers and connects the narrow waterway between Heping Island and the main island. It is also the channel for fishing boats to enter and exit, like a narrow gate, hence it has a more elegant name, Haimen (Sea Gate). Bajiamen includes areas such as Heping Island and the nearby Zhengbin Fishing Harbor. The 'Haibin National Housing' community next to it is one of the main filming locations for the Taiwanese drama 'Port of Desire'.
-Attraction Features-
Bajiamen's unique island topography and the white cross-sea bridge complement each other, creating a naturally advantageous condition for ships to dock. Here you can explore the fishing harbor scenery, the colorful houses of Zhengbin Fishing Harbor, and enjoy the vast sea views. It is a very suitable attraction for dates and family outings.
