Legend has it that Marshal Tiandu was a musician named Lei Haiqing during the Tang Dynasty. He was not only brave in battle but also highly accomplished in music and drama. Many performing artists visit this temple to pray for successful performances. It is said that Marshal Tiandu was saved by a crab when he was young, so crabs are forbidden offerings during worship. This unique taboo adds a mysterious touch to the temple.
