After World War II, it was taken over by the Republic of China government and handed over to the modernized shipping company China Merchants Bureau for use. In 1972, China Merchants Bureau invested in the establishment of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. Today, it combines Keelung's history with marine culture, presenting maritime knowledge in diverse ways, allowing visitors to understand the daily lives of Keelung's maritime workers.

The Yang Ming Marine Culture and Art Museum exhibits marine culture and humanities and arts. Through engaging and educational methods, visitors can learn about ship structures, marine knowledge, and more, with exhibitions changing periodically. Not only can you further understand the story of Keelung Port, but you can also learn about the work and daily lives of maritime workers through diverse interactive displays and exhibits. In addition to exhibitions, the museum also offers unique simulated driving experience activities, allowing visitors to dress up as captains and crew members and experience the thrill of sailing the sea under different scenarios and weather conditions.
