Qing'an Temple, affectionately known as "Keelung Mazu Temple" or "Keelung Mazu Gong," is a place where stepping onto its plaza feels like delving into the depths of Keelung's memory. Originally built during the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong era, the Mazu Temple was first located at Niuchao Port, making it one of the earliest spiritual centers of this port city. It has since moved from the breezy docks to its current street corner, accompanying the people of Keelung through the golden age of its fishing harbor and blessing countless citizens with safe voyages and peaceful returns.

Upon entering Qing'an Temple, the first thing that catches your eye is the Mazu stone sculpture to the right of the plaza, its benevolent and dignified expression seemingly watching over the visitors. This is the only Mazu temple in Taiwan that simultaneously enshrines Mazu from Meizhou, Quanzhou, and Zhangzhou, a "Three Mazu Co-worship" that integrates beliefs from different origins within a single temple, mirroring Keelung's spirit of embracing diverse port culture from ancient times to the present. In addition to the main deity, Empress of Heaven (Mazu), the temple also honors numerous other deities such as the Jade Emperor, the God of Wealth, and Guanyin Bodhisattva, drawing a constant stream of devotees. Thoughtfully, the temple has established a "Bridge of Peace" on the second floor, connecting the corridors on both sides of the main hall's second floor. This allows for convenient worship and offers a bird's-eye view of the plaza, allowing visitors to appreciate the temple's beauty from a different perspective. Furthermore, the temple also has a "Taoist Service Center" for those in need.
