-Attraction Features-Maxi Charcoal Kiln is a living microcosm of Keelung's Qidu mining history. The kilns, built stone by stone without any concrete, remain as sturdy as ever after years of weathering. In the 1950s, this place was filled with smoke day and night, its fires burning ceaselessly, serving as a crucial factory for converting coal into charcoal and supporting the booming steel industry. Today, the mottled kiln structures, along with the preserved cooling ponds and ecological ponds, create a space where mining and nature coexist. Furthermore, the transformation into a pizza kiln makes this site not only a storyteller of the past but also a place for experience and education, embodying local history.
