Hongdeng Mountain is one of Taiwan's Lesser Hundred Peaks. The trail is planted with abundant vegetation such as cherry blossoms, azaleas, osmanthus, and maple leaves. The dense tree canopy has earned it the reputation of "Yangmingshan of Keelung." Furthermore, the trail preserves the historically valuable relic, "Baoming Temple Ancient City Gate." Upon reaching the summit, the view is majestic and expansive, offering a magnificent panorama of the "Five Keelung" landmarks: Keelung City, Keelung Harbor, Keelung Mountain, Keelung Islet, and Keelung River.
