All Saints' Church Archaeological Site. ※Closed due to construction. ※Closed due to construction. ※The monastic archaeological site at the Heping Island Pingyi Road parking lot in Keelung City has yielded astonishing and abundant archaeological findings, making it arguably one of the most significant historical site discoveries in Taiwan in recent years. Under the commission of the Keelung City Cultural Affairs Bureau, a National Tsing Hua University archaeology team continued the excavation project in 2019, gradually revealing the complete layout of All Saints' Church. The foundations visible at the site indicate the nave and main body of the church, along with buttress structures, suggesting an interior area exceeding 200 square meters and a total footprint of over 350 square meters. According to Dutch historical records, when the Dutch defeated the Spanish forces, they imprisoned over four hundred Spanish captives from the island in the church, which gives an idea of the church's scale. In addition to human remains, the site has yielded artifacts such as European buckles, Chinese trade porcelain, blue and white cups, and Anping vases. The history of the site extends beyond the Dutch-Spanish period, encompassing Iron Age cultural layers from 400 to 2000 years ago, and even the Shanshan Culture layer dating back over 3000 years.
