Hsinchu Park. The moats are said to be the most beautiful memory of many Hsinchu natives' youth. Just ask any citizen born in the 1960s or earlier, who hasn't rowed a boat or had a first crush by the moats? The moats are said to be the most beautiful memory of many Hsinchu natives' youth. Just ask any citizen born in the 1960s or earlier, who hasn't rowed a boat or had a first crush by the moats? This small lake is as beautiful and captivating as its name suggests. Although you can no longer paddle a boat on the moats, after renovation, the zigzag bridge and pavilions wind across the lake. They are complemented by elegant buildings such as the Wind Livehouse, the Glass Museum of Hsinchu City, and the Lakeside Pavilion. The surrounding area is lush with flowers and greenery, and playful koi carp swim in the lake, while swans leisurely glide on the water. This scenery is elegantly refreshing and uplifting.
