The entrance to the San Chuan Hall is laid out in a straight line, with the central gate approximately twice the width of the side gates. The spiral drum stones between the central and side gates, unlike the stone lions used as bases in other temples, are a characteristic feature of Tianhou Temples, reflecting the fact that the main deity is Mazu.
