The main hall of Dizang Temple is dedicated to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the Great Hero Hall is dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha, and the Tai Sui Hall and Wenchang Hall are set up in the front courtyard. The Great Compassion Hall is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Amitabha Hall is dedicated to Amitabha Buddha, the Medicine Buddha Hall is dedicated to Medicine Buddha, and the Great Vow Hall on the top floor enshrines four statues of Namo Great Vow Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva enshrined in the main hall is said to be the creation of the master Ye Wang of Jiaozhi pottery. Its appearance is solemn and compassionate, and its divine grace is vast. Because it often manifests to help people, bless the local community, and protect the people, it has become the most important center of faith. The annual ceremonies include the Upper Yuan Ceremony, the Middle Yuan Ceremony, and the Lower Yuan Ceremony, with tens of thousands of participants each time, making them very grand. Dizang Temple is prosperous and often organizes charitable relief, saving sentient beings, and comforting people's hearts. The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue enshrined in the main hall and the statues of the Ten Kings of Hell are ancient artifacts and are extremely valuable. Historical Encyclopedia The golden statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva of Jiuhua Mountain was brought to Taiwan by a devout person at the end of the Ming Dynasty. In the 36th year of Kangxi (1697), it was chosen to be enshrined at the current site, and it has been over 300 years since then. In the 56th year of Kangxi (1717), the Beilu Battalion Commander You Chonggong built the temple, and in the 25th year of Qianlong (1760), the magistrate Li Tan expanded it, and it began to take shape.
