In Taiwanese folk culture, Koji Ware is commonly referred to as "Koji," "Koji Ong-a," or "Koji-a." In early times, it was widely used as decorative elements in temple architecture. Its traditional themes centered on figures representing fishing, woodcutting, farming, and reading, complemented by insects, fish, birds, beasts, flora, utensils, and opera scenes, with clear main and subordinate elements and harmonious compositions.
