When people look up, they can see a giant Bauhinia blakeana flower shining against the blue sky. The Bauhinia blakeana is the city flower of Chiayi, and it is projected through the Sun Shooting Tower, fully showcasing the beauty of Chiayi's city flower! This circular building, with the city flower of Chiayi as its slanted roof, was originally the site of the old Martyrs' Shrine. The Sun Shooting Tower, 62 meters high, offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Zhuluo from the tenth and eleventh floors, with the beautiful mountain scenery in full view. At the entrance, there is a pair of bronze sculptures of clouded leopards, symbolizing Taiwan's guardian spirit. The bottom floor of the tower is the Martyrs' Shrine, where the memorial tablets of the martyrs are carved from white marble for public worship. The second floor and above is the Sun Shooting Tower.
