Attraction Construction: Founded in the 43rd year of Meiji era (1910) during the Japanese colonial period. For 400 years, Taiwan has experienced power changes from indigenous peoples, the Dutch, Zheng Chenggong, the Qing Dynasty, Japan, to the National Government. Zhuluo (the ancient name for Chiayi) was a strategic point between north and south, directly impacted by diverse influences, leaving behind many historical sites and materials, such as indigenous (Pingpu) altar ruins, Dutch-built royal fields, stone tablets with imperial decrees from Emperor Qianlong in both Manchu and Chinese, naval cannons from the Jiaqing period, the first earthquake memorial monument in Taiwan, subsidiary buildings of shrines from the Japanese colonial period, and from the early 19th century, by the United States.
