Hsiao Wan-chang Cultural Center. The "Hsiao Wan-chang Cultural Center" was expanded from the "Hsiao Wan-chang Presidential Office Archives" established in 2006, housing artifacts from Hsiao Wan-chang's 50 years in public service up to his tenure as Vice President. The "Hsiao Wan-chang Cultural Center" was expanded from the "Hsiao Wan-chang Presidential Office Archives" established in 2006. It houses 2,549 artifacts, including medals, artworks, calligraphy and paintings, and important documents, collected during Hsiao Wan-chang's 50 years in public service up to his tenure as Vice President. These items have been donated to National Chiayi University for teaching and research purposes, while also serving an artistic and cultural function. Located on the 5th floor of the National Chiayi University Library, the center spans 116.5 ping (approximately 385 square meters). It is divided into several areas: the Entrance Hall, featuring a sundial representing Mr. Hsiao's personal life and displaying the Order of Chiang Kai-shek awarded during his vice presidency; the Art and Digital Resources Exhibition Room, with flooring designed using a sundial motif, aerial views of Chiayi City, and the city flower, showcasing Vice President Hsiao's administrative achievements throughout his life with large touch-screen computers and a multimedia screening room for interactive digital exhibits; and the Special Collections Room, displaying Dr. Hsiao's press releases, speeches, news clippings, and important meeting records, as well as various honorary doctoral robes, significant calligraphy and paintings, and cherished artworks.
