Geologically, it is mainly composed of tuff breccia and andesite. The rocks near the hot springs have been altered by geothermal activity and are mostly kaolinized, bearing witness to the history of volcanic activity. The spring water at Lengshuikeng has a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius, which is much lower than that of other hot spring areas, hence its name. This is also Taiwan's only sulfur precipitation deposit. The spring water, rich in minerals, exhibits a dreamy milky white color, earning it the nickname "Milk Pool." The hot springs here are indirectly heated by groundwater and possess two unique water qualities: neutral bicarbonate spring and weakly acidic sulfate spring. In addition to enjoying the hot springs, you can take a stroll to the beautiful Juansik Waterfall or explore the tranquil Dream Lake Ecological Protection Area. In this abundant environment, you may encounter friends of nature at any time, such as the noisy Long-legged Grass Frogs, the Swinhoe's Brown Frogs whose calls resemble bird songs, or the Pangu Toad with its warty skin and rustic appearance. Occasionally, you might also catch a glimpse of snakes and reptiles.
