The prominent giant rock on the ridge stands among layers of mountains, resembling a warship at first glance, hence the name Mount Keelung. During the Japanese occupation era, it was collectively known as the Wujian Mountain Range along with Qilian Mountain, Danfeng Mountain, and Wujian Mountain. The rock climbing area at the summit is an ideal practice ground for rock climbing and a very popular hiking route. Mount Keelung Trail Hiking along the Mount Keelung Trail, you can admire precious old trees and natural landscapes. The view from the summit is wide open. The Academia Sinica has established a crustal movement reference point at the summit for recording and research purposes. Looking to the right from the summit, you can enjoy the ridgeline and landscape views from Shilin to Beitou. Danfeng Mountain Danfeng Mountain has an altitude of 210 meters and a relatively flat terrain. The environment is very serene, with natural surroundings similar to Mount Keelung. The sandstone terrain results in a thin soil layer and low water retention, making the environment drier and thus more prone to fires. Wujian Mountain Wujian Mountain has an altitude of 282 meters. During the Japanese occupation era, it was collectively known as the Wujian Mountain Range along with Qilian Mountain, Danfeng Mountain, and Mount Keelung.
