It is adjacent to the National Taiwan Science Education Center and the Taipei Children's Amusement Park, forming a close science education park, and is an important hub for many school groups and families planning science learning trips. The museum's exhibition areas are well-planned, with floors 3 to 6 dedicated to permanent exhibitions covering life sciences, matter and energy, earth systems, mathematics, and related technological fields. The exhibition areas utilize models, interactive equipment, multimedia, and situational simulations to present abstract scientific concepts in a more concrete way, helping visitors deepen their understanding of scientific concepts through operation. Some floors also feature exploration stations, science game devices, and themed exhibition units, allowing visitors of all ages to engage in observation and operation according to their interests. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum launches several special exhibitions annually, covering natural science, technology, engineering, and interdisciplinary topics, allowing the public to explore more diverse scientific themes at different times.
