Tian En Temple. Tian En Temple is located in the inner bend area of Maokong and belongs to the I-Kuan Tao spiritual center. Its exterior is a traditional Chinese palace-style building, three stories high, with white railings, orange tiles, and red pillars, exuding solemnity and reverence. It is said that at the beginning of the temple's construction, a well-digging company was hired to find water on the temple grounds. The company dug in several places, even as deep as twenty feet, without finding any water. The then-chairman notified followers from all over Taiwan to pray to Heaven for water on the same night. Three days later, a spring miraculously emerged from the retaining wall at the back, with clear, sweet, and excellent quality water. Grateful for Heaven's great grace in bestowing water, it was named: "Tian En Spring." The main hall on the first floor of Tian En Temple enshrines Maitreya Buddha, who is always smiling and carefree, in the center, with Guanyin Bodhisattva and Guan Sheng Di Jun on either side. On holidays, various spiritual cultivation courses and activities are offered, with the aim of restoring the natural state of one's true nature, inspiring the utmost goodness of conscience and ability, helping oneself to stand and helping others to stand, and helping oneself to reach and helping others to reach. In addition, Tian En Temple also promotes vegetarianism. There is a canteen next to it selling various flavors of vegetarian cakes and tea snacks, which are very popular with the public.
