As a devout Christian and a prominent local businessman, he often mediated and resolved disputes between foreign firms and local residents, ensuring smooth outcomes. He was also known for his philanthropy and dedication to public welfare, enjoying high prestige among the populace. Furthermore, he made significant contributions during Liu Ming-chuan's promotion of modernization. The Li Chun-sheng Memorial Church, built by his descendants, commemorates this remarkable merchant. This two-story building is located on Guide Street, which was a district inhabited by foreigners during the late Qing Dynasty, a bustling area where wealthy merchants and foreign firms congregated, making it the most prosperous street in Dadaocheng. Due to its proximity to the Tamsui River, which frequently flooded, the foundations of the houses here were built higher than usual. Although the exterior tiles of the building have been renovated, its frontal features are well-preserved, resembling a human face with the entrance as the mouth and two bull-ear windows as the eyes. This architectural style is unique in Taipei City and highly distinctive.
