The latter part of Gengliao Ancient Trail connects to Laoliao Ancient Trail, which was also a tea mountain area with many tea houses in the past. Because the ancient trail was once a camphor production area for transportation and manufacturing, its old name was Naoliao Ancient Trail. About 110 years ago, Naoliao Ancient Trail became the busiest road for tea merchants and villagers, and later, the name Laoliao was adopted due to its similar pronunciation and has been used ever since. The name Gengliao Ancient Trail was given during the Qing Dynasty when this road was used by watchmen for patrols. This once glorious pioneer road has now shed its halo and become a hiking path for leisurely exploration. Chunxuan Farm, originally Nangang's First Citizen Farm, has transformed into a comprehensive farm with both educational and recreational functions.
