Due to its connection with the Four Beasts Mountains and other ridges, it has become a popular hiking route. Entering from the Lingyun Temple archway at the Xiangshan Hiking Trail entrance, the stone steps along the way are complete and flat, with trail maps. The scenery along the route is mainly Acacia forests, with many pavilions and seating facilities built by early morning gathering groups along the trail for hikers to rest. It can be connected with Xiangshan, Hushan, and Lishanqiao Entrance hiking trails for a combined hike. Nangang Mountain is located on the southeastern ridge boundary of Xinyi District and Nangang District. It is the highest peak of the Nangang Mountain system, with a night flashing light installation and a third-class triangulation point No. 695 on the summit. Between Changshou Garden and Thumb Mountain, many mountain paths and winding trails have been built on the Nangang Mountain ridge, which is about 196 meters high, making it very convenient for hikers. Looking north from the summit, the lower Xiang, Shi, Bao, and Hu mountains to the northwest are collectively known as the Four Beasts Mountains. Looking east and south, you can see continuous mountain ranges, lush and verdant, with layered peaks. A television broadcasting antenna is erected at the highest point of Nangang Mountain, soaring among the clouds. The terrain here rises and falls significantly, making the climb exciting and interesting. One of the peaks is named "Jiuwu Peak" (95 Peak), in honor of General Yang Sen who climbed this peak at the age of 95. Thumb Mountain is located to the south-southwest of Nangang Mountain. There is no benchmark on the mountain. From Taipei
