It offers good surrounding views. Legend has it that Lu Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals, once left his footprints here, making Xianjiyan famous and attracting many curious visitors eager to witness the divine trace. It is also the best place for nearby residents to hike and exercise. Like Qixing Mountain, Xianjiyan has a first-class trigonometric control point. Ascending from the archway at Lane 243, Jingxing Road, Jingmei, passing the 78 steps of Longevity Ladder and the 100 steps of Ascension Slope, you will reach a lush green trail. Along the way, you can enjoy diverse green vegetation, the large Xianjiyan rock at the summit, a health trail, and the Xianyan Temple, all offering panoramic views of the Taipei Basin cityscape. The scenery is tranquil and pleasant. Mountains don't need to be high; small and beautiful is good. Xianjiyan is located in the Jingmei area, so it is naturally nicknamed 'Jingmei Mountain.' Because it is situated near the confluence of Jingmei River and Xindian River, it also has the nickname 'Xizikou Mountain.' Although its altitude is only 144 meters, it offers excellent surrounding views. Don't underestimate this small mountain; it also has a first-class trigonometric control point, just like Qixing Mountain. With its open views and convenient transportation, you can find a triangulation point for topographic mapping near the summit, which is also a second-class trigonometric station marker. Xianjiyan is not a high mountain, making it a favorite spot for nearby residents.
